The title of my message today is greatness ¿À´Ã Á¦ ¸ä½ÃÁöÀÇ Á¦¸ñÀº À§´ëÇÔÀÔ´Ï´Ù//Our text is Nehemiah chapter 2 verses 1 to 10º»¹®Àº ´ÀÇì¹Ì¾ß2Àå1Àý¿¡¼­ 10Àý±îÁöÀÔ´Ï´Ù/A few days ago as I was walking down a street,¸çÄ¥Àü Á¦°¡ ÇÑ °Å¸®¸¦ °É¾î°¡¸é¼­// somebody handed me a local newspaper called Great local PaperÀ§´ëÇÑ Áö¿ª½Å¹®À̶ó´Â Á¦¸ñÀÇ ÇÑ Áö¿ª½Å¹®À» ´©±º°¡ Àú¿¡°Ô °Ç³×ÁÖ¾ùÀ¾´Ï´Ù
 
I was a bit shocked to learn that people even use the word great for the name of newspaper»ç¶÷µéÀÌ ½ÉÁö¾î ½Å¹®ÀÇ À̸§À¸·Î À§´ëÇÑ À̶ó´Â ´Ü¾î¸¦ ¾²´Â °ÍÀ» ¾Ë°ÔµÇ¾î ¾à°£ Ãæ°ÝÀ» ¹Þ¾ÒÀ¾´Ï´Ù//Well, it was a newspaper published by a church called Global Church in Yangcheon-gu Seoul/ ±×°ÍÀº ¼­¿ï ¾çõ±¸¿¡ ÀÖ´Â Áö±¸Ã̱³È¸¶ó°í ºÒ¸®¿ì´Â ±³È¸¿¡ ÀÇÇÏ¿© ¹ßÇàµÇ´Â ÇÑ ½Å¹®À̾úÀ¾´Ï´Ù/

In today¡¯s text we find Nehemiah refusing to live just as an ordinary run-of-the mill type of man/¿À´Ã º»¹®¿¡¼­ ¿ì¸®´Â ´ÀÇì¹Ì¾ß°¡ ±×Àú Æò¹üÇÑ ½ºÅ¸ÀÏÀÇ »ç¶÷À¸·Î »ì±â¸¦ °ÅºÎÇÏ´Â °ÍÀ» ¹ß°ßÇÕ´Ï´Ù/ He was one of the exiles who were taken away out of Judah ±×´Â À¯´Ù·ÎºÎÅÍ ²ø·Á¿Â Æ÷·ÎÁßÀÇ Çϳª¿´À¾´Ï´Ù//
 
He was serving the most powerful king of the world in those days as a cupbearer´ç½Ã ¼¼°è¿¡¼­ °¡Àå ¸·°­ÇÑ ¿ÕÀÇ ¼úÀܸÃÀº Àڷμ­ ¼¶±â°íÀÖ¾ú½À´Ï´Ù
 
Please think of how hard he worked to become a close friend of the king in the greatest empire of the world.¼¼°Ô ÃÖ´ëÁ¦±¹ÀÇ ¿ÕÀÇ °¡±î¿î Ä£±¸°¡ µÇ±âÀ§ÇØ ±×°¡ ¾ó¸¶³ª ¿­½ÉÈ÷ ÀÏÇߴ°¡¸¦ »ý°¢Çغ¸¼¼¿ä//He must have been very clean morally and excellent in skill±×´Â µµ´öÀûÀ¸·Î ±ú²ýÇÏ°í ±â´É¿¡ À־µµ ¶Ù¾î³µÀ½¿¡ Ʋ¸²¾øÀ¾´Ï´Ù//

By then he heard about a terrible condition of Jerusalem where his fathers were buried±×·²ÁîÀ½ ±×´Â ±×ÀÇ Á¶»óµéÀÌ ¹¯Èù ¿¹·ç»ì·½ÀÇ ²ûÂïÇÑ »óȲ¿¡ ´ëÇØ µé¾úÀ¾´Ï´Ù//Right away he sensed the call of God telling him to go to Jerusalem°ð¹Ù·Î ±×´Â ±×¸¦ ¿¹·ç»ì·½À¸·Î °¡¶ó°í ¸»¾¸ÇϽô Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ºÎ¸§À» °¨ÁöÇßÀ¾´Ï´Ù//
 
Since he was trusted by the king fully, ±×°¡ ¿ÕÀÇ ½ÅÀÓÀ» ¿ÂÀüÈ÷ ¹Þ°í ÀÖ¾úÀ¸¹Ç·Î//he could easily persuade the king to help him go to Jerusalem for rebuilding it±×´Â ¿¹·ç»ì·½ÀÇ Àç°ÇÀ» À§ÇØ ±×°¡ °Å±â¿¡ °¡µµ·Ï ¿ÕÀÌ µµ¿ÍÁÖµµ·Ï ½±°Ô ¼³µæÇÒ¼öÀÖ¾úÀ¾´Ï´Ù
 
When the king asked him questions,¿ÕÀÌ ±×¿¡°Ô Áú¹®ÇÒ ¶§// he was spiritual enough to pray to God for right answer±×´Â ¿Ã¹Ù¸¥ ´ë´äÀ» À§ÇØ Çϳª´Ô²² ±âµµÇÒ ¸¸Å­ ¿µÀûÀ̾úÀ¾´Ï´Ù//Nehemiah was a man of prayer who was filled with the spirit of prayer while serving the king´ÀÇì¹Ì¾ß´Â ¿ÕÀ» ¼¶±â¸é¼­ ±âµµÀÇ ¿µÀ¸·Î Ã游ÇÑ ±âµµÀÇ »ç¶÷À̾úÀ¾´Ï´Ù/
 
Oh we need the spirituality of Nehemiah who was not satisfied with material blessing¹°ÁúÀû ÃູÀ¸·Î ¸¸Á·ÇÏÁö¸øÇÑ ´ÀÇì¹Ì¾ßÀÇ ¿µ¼ºÀÌ ¿ì¸®¿¡°Ô ÇÊ¿äÇÕ´Ï´Ù
 
He wanted closer fellowship with God not matter how shabby the place was where God was leading him±×´Â Çϳª´ÔÀÌ ±×¸¦ ÀεµÇÏ´Â °÷ÀÌ ¾Æ¹«¸® º¸Àß °Í ¾ø¾îµµ ±×ºÐ°ú ´õ Ä£¹ÐÇÑ ±³Á¦¸¦ ¿øÇßÀ¾´Ï´Ù//As a deer thirsts for streams, so he longed for God amid material abundance»ç½¿ÀÌ ½Ã³Á¹°À» °¥±ÞÇϵíÀÌ ±×´Â ¹°ÁúÀû dz¿ä¼Ó¿¡¼­µµ Çϳª´ÔÀ» »ç¸ðÇßÀ¾´Ï´Ù /
 
In those days the wall of Jeruslaem was broken down by enemies.´ç½Ã ¿¹·ç»ì·½ÀÇ ¼ºº®Àº ¿ø¼öµé¿¡ ÀÇÇØ ¹«³ÊÁ³´ø °ÍÀÔ´Ï´Ù//The city was shabby and terribleµµ½Ã°¡ ÃʶóÇÏ°í ÇüÆí¾ø¾úÀ¾´Ï´Ù//But Nehemiah felt that God was calling him there±×·¯³ª ´ÀÇì¹Ì¾ß´Â Çϳª´ÔÀÌ ±×¸¦ ±×°÷À¸·Î ºÎ¸£°í °è½ÉÀ» ´À²¼À¾´Ï´Ù
 
Are you willing to give up your present comfort to go to the field God is calling you to, God willing?¿©·¯ºÐÀº Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ¶æÀ̶ó¸é ±×ºÐÀÌ ºÎ¸£½Ã´Â °÷À¸·Î °¡±âÀ§ÇÏ¿© ÇöÀçÀÇ ¾È¶ôÀ» ±â²¨È÷ Æ÷±âÇÏ°ÚÀ¾´Ï±î?//When you say yes to that question and put it into action±× Áú¹®¿¡ ¿¹¶ó°í ´äº¯ÇÏ°í ½ÇÇà¿¡ ¿Å±æ ¶§//

1.In the month of Nisan in the twentieth year of King Artaxerxes, when wine was brought for him, I took the wine and gave it to the king. 6.Then the king, with the queen sitting beside him, asked me, How long will your journey take, and when will you get back? 8.And may I have a letter to Asaph, keeper of the king's forest, so he will give me timber to make beams for the gates of the citadel by the temple and for the city wall and for the residence I will occupy?
